Welcome

The North Dorset area covers Evershot in the west to Shaftesbury in the east and Blandford Forum in the south, but walks take place in any part of Dorset as well as South Somerset and SW Wiltshire.

About Us

The North Dorset Group of the Ramblers aims to provide two walks each week, generally a shorter walk of between 6 and 8 miles midweek - usually on Wednesdays, but occasionally Thursdays - and a longer one of between 9 and 14 miles on Sundays. The group organises at least one Coach Ramble each summer, takes part in path clearance work as the occasion arises, and holds social events during the year.

	Footpath Problems If you come across any obstructions, missing footpaths, or intimidating animals the online problem reporting form (for Dorset) is available at the Dorset For You website. If you do use it, it would be helpful if you could let Jan know of any problems you find in North Dorset.
